From the moment we dropped our first batch of chips back in the early days of 1992, all we really wanted to do was make a great potato chip. We started with a tiny little cooker, a garden rake, a great recipe, and some good old-fashioned grit.
One thing we knew for sure is that if we made a quality product, there would be people who would want it. We've been doing this now for 25+ years, and our belief still stands: if you make something GOOD, with high quality ingredients, in a safe and clean environment, with a happy staff, then the results are going to be special.
Welcome to Route 11 Potato Chips! We kettle cook only 25lbs of chips at a time. This gives the potatoes space to develop lots of curl in the body and a perfect crunch. They burst with wholesome, natural potato flavor.
We finish by hand-seasoning them with intense, unique, or sometimes classic flavors, turning America's favorite snack food into an art form. We also built our facility from the ground up to be efficient, safe, and as environmentally responsible as we can make it.
We even recycle the dirt off our potatoes!
We want everyone to be able to enjoy our chips, so we cook in 100% expeller pressed, high oleic sunflower oil and keep our whole factory free of gluten, wheat, peanuts, and tree nuts.
The multiple awards our chips have won over the years attest to how taking time to do something really well creates quality that can't be matched on a larger scale.
